Do doulas perform any physical examinations?
Doulas by definition are non-medical support so we do not do any exams before or during labor.
How will hiring a doula affect my partner’s role during the birth?
A doula supports both the laboring person as well as their partner during labor. Instead of diminishing their role, we will encourage and teach your partner on how to best support you through each phase of labor. Most laboring people recall their partner's role much more positively when a doula was present versus when one wasn't. Doulas make partners look good!
What are your interactions with medical staff like?
As a hospital employee, my relationships and interactions with all medical staff are professional and courteous. Doulas are a valued part of the birth team at Hinsdale Hospital and you will feel the unified support in the care you receive.
Are you taking on any private clients for birth?
Yes! Although I do primarily work with the OMG Doula Program, I am also available to take on private clients. Learn more about the program here! Or, if you are looking for private doula services, please click here to learn more about the different packages.
Do I have to deliver at Hinsdale Hospital in order to hire you as my doula?
You do not need to delivery at Hinsdale Hospital. I am comfortable supporting births at other hospitals, birthing centers, or in your home.

Are you taking on any private clients for childbirth education?
Yes! Please contact me to schedule your private in-home class today!
When should I take your class?
You can take this class as early as 24 weeks, but most take the class while in their 3rd trimester, ideally before 37 weeks.
Should my partner also attend the class?
Yes! We go over ways that the partner can be helpful to you through labor and delivery.
What does the cost of the A to Z with OMG class include?
The cost includes a spot for you and your labor support person, class handouts, and a 30 minute birth plan call after the class.
